These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ProMoney website, financial tools, calculators, educational materials, and related services.
By accessing or using ProMoney, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use ProMoney.
ProMoney is operated by Canadian Pro Money Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.
1. Purpose of ProMoney
ProMoney provides financial education, general information, calculators, planning tools, and related resources intended to help users better understand financial concepts and explore hypothetical financial scenarios.
ProMoney’s public website and tools are provided for general educational and informational purposes.
2. No Professional Advice
Nothing provided through ProMoney constitutes individualized:
- financial advice;
- investment advice;
- tax advice;
- accounting advice;
- legal advice;
- credit advice; or
- other professional advice.
Use of ProMoney does not create an advisor-client, fiduciary, accountant-client, lawyer-client, or other professional relationship.
You are responsible for evaluating your own circumstances and obtaining appropriate professional advice where necessary.
3. Calculators and Projections
ProMoney’s calculators and planning tools generate estimates based on information and assumptions entered by the user and the mathematical models used by the applicable tool.
Results are illustrative only.
Actual financial outcomes may differ materially because of factors including investment performance, taxes, fees, inflation, interest rates, contribution timing, market conditions, changes in law, and individual circumstances.
ProMoney does not guarantee the accuracy of any projection or that any projected result will occur.
4. User Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- information you enter into ProMoney;
- reviewing calculations before relying on them;
- determining whether assumptions are appropriate for your circumstances;
- independently verifying information where appropriate; and
- obtaining professional advice before making significant financial decisions.
You should not make investment, borrowing, insurance, tax, legal, or other significant financial decisions solely because of information generated by ProMoney.
5. Accuracy and Availability
We aim to provide useful and accurate information, but we do not guarantee that all information, calculations, resources, or website functionality will always be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Financial rules, tax rules, government programs, market information, interest rates, and other information may change.
We may modify, correct, suspend, or discontinue any part of ProMoney without notice.
6. Permitted Use
You may use ProMoney for lawful personal and educational purposes.
You may not:
- interfere with the operation or security of the website;
- attempt unauthorized access to systems or restricted areas;
- introduce malicious software or harmful code;
- scrape, reproduce, or systematically extract substantial portions of the website without authorization;
- misuse ProMoney for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;
- impersonate another person;
- attempt to circumvent security or access controls; or
- use ProMoney in a way that infringes the rights of others.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, ProMoney and its website design, branding, original written materials, software interfaces, graphics, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Canadian Pro Money Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use publicly available ProMoney tools and resources for their intended personal use.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of ProMoney intellectual property to you.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
ProMoney may rely on or link to third-party websites, infrastructure, data sources, or services.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, accuracy, or privacy practices.
Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and policies.
9. No Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ProMoney and its content, tools, and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We make no guarantee that ProMoney will meet every user’s requirements or that the website will always operate without interruption, delay, error, or security issues.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Canadian Pro Money Inc., ProMoney, and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for losses or damages arising from or relating to reliance on educational information, estimates, projections, or calculations provided through ProMoney.
This includes financial decisions made based on assumptions or results generated using the website.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
11. Privacy
Your use of ProMoney is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you use the website.
12. Future Accounts and Paid Services
ProMoney does not currently offer the full account-based subscription product contemplated for future development.
If paid subscriptions, user accounts, saved financial information, or other account-based services are introduced, additional or revised terms may apply.
Users will be provided with the applicable terms before using those services.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as ProMoney evolves or as legal, operational, or technical requirements change.
The effective date displayed above will identify the current version.
Continued use of ProMoney after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
