Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 7, 2026
ProMoney (“ProMoney,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and disclosed when you visit ProMoney, use our financial education resources and calculators, or otherwise interact with our website.
ProMoney is operated by Canadian Pro Money Inc., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada.
1. Information You Enter Into Our Financial Tools
ProMoney provides financial calculators and planning tools, including tools such as the Compound Growth Calculator and Monthly Budget Planner.
Unless a tool specifically tells you otherwise, information you enter into our current public financial tools is processed within your browser and is not intentionally transmitted to ProMoney for storage on our servers.
Some tools may use your browser’s local storage to preserve information on your device so that your work is not lost when you refresh or return to the website.
Information stored locally may include financial figures you enter into a tool, such as income, expenses, contributions, savings assumptions, or other planning information.
Local browser storage remains associated with your browser and device and can generally be removed by clearing your browser’s site data.
We do not intentionally send financial values entered into our public calculators or planning tools to our analytics services.
2. Website and Analytics Information
When you visit ProMoney, certain technical information may be processed automatically.
This may include information such as:
- pages visited;
- referring website or source;
- approximate geographic information;
- browser and device type;
- operating system;
- website performance information; and
- general interaction and traffic information.
We use Vercel to host ProMoney.
We may use Vercel Web Analytics to understand general website usage and Vercel Speed Insights to monitor website performance.
We use this information to operate, maintain, secure, improve, and understand the performance of ProMoney.
We do not intentionally provide financial information entered into ProMoney’s tools to Vercel Analytics or Speed Insights as analytics event data.
3. Information You Provide Directly
At this stage, ProMoney does not offer public user accounts or a functioning newsletter registration service.
If we later introduce features that collect personal information—such as accounts, email subscriptions, saved financial information, payments, or personalized services—we will update this Privacy Policy and provide appropriate notice before or when those features are introduced.
If you contact us directly, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your communication.
4. How We Use Information
Where applicable, we may use information to:
- provide and operate the ProMoney website;
- provide requested functionality;
- maintain website security and reliability;
- understand website usage;
- monitor and improve website performance;
- diagnose technical problems;
- respond to inquiries;
- comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- improve our tools, resources, and user experience.
We will not intentionally collect more personal information than reasonably necessary for the purposes identified.
5. Financial Information
Financial information can be sensitive.
ProMoney’s current public tools are designed, where practical, to perform calculations locally in the user’s browser rather than requiring users to create an account or submit their financial information to a ProMoney database.
Users should nevertheless avoid entering information that is unnecessary for a calculation, such as bank account numbers, credit card numbers, passwords, Social Insurance Numbers, or other identifying financial credentials.
6. Service Providers
We may use third-party service providers to operate and improve ProMoney.
Currently, this includes Vercel for website hosting, deployment, analytics, and/or performance monitoring.
These providers may process technical information in accordance with their own terms and privacy practices and our configuration of their services.
As ProMoney develops, we may add other service providers. We will update this Privacy Policy when changes materially affect how personal information is handled.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
ProMoney itself does not currently use advertising cookies or advertising trackers.
Our infrastructure and service providers may use technologies necessary to provide, secure, measure, or operate their services.
If ProMoney later introduces technologies requiring additional consent or disclosure, we will update our practices and this Privacy Policy as appropriate.
8. Retention
We retain personal information under our control only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required or permitted by law.
Information stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage is controlled through that browser and device and is not part of a ProMoney server-side user account.
9. Safeguards
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information under our control.
However, no internet service or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights relating to personal information held about you, including requesting access to your information and requesting correction of inaccurate information.
